Beauty Favourites #2

hello everybody,

Okay, so I have found my new absolute favourite skincare product, it is literally so good I can't even tell you. askjdihfiehededivej *me screaming at the screen and typing random letters because I can't even cope ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!*

I have been absolutely loving this product and am quite shocked that I have only just found it! I don't where I have been all this time but the product I'm rambling on about is the simple kind to eyes revitalising eye roll-on. It is fine to use no matter whether you have oily or dry skin and doesn't irritate your skin either so that's good news to all you fellow sensitives out there (thought it sounded cooler than saying all of us who have super sensitive skin!!) It is full of all sorts of good ingredients and no artificial rubbish (for more on the ingredients click here)

I wake up in a morning for school and I really don't want to get out of bed (we all know the feeling especially on a Monday morning!) and I just roll this on under my eyes and I feel so much more awake. It also really helps to reduce the appearance of under eye bags which if your me is super amazing. It's so quick and easy to use but makes such a difference; obviously it's not going to cure you from a short nights sleep but it really helps you have the energy to get out of bed and get dressed for school.
I would definitely recommend this to everybody it honestly makes your morning so much better and I actually can't wait to wake up just so I can use it again!

I hope the this might help some of you who also don't get enough sleep

ps. I am aware that this post is very rambly and doesn't really follow through or make much sense but I really had to share this product with you also I am not being sponsored to say anything in this post just in case you were thinking I might be

DIY Marble Bowl

Hiya everybody,
I was looking through Pintrest the other day and spotted a lot of cute marble bowls and wanted to make one of my own and a lot of the pins didn't explain how to do them so I thought you guys might be interested in them. You and you're friends could get together and make them.

What you need:
-4 different colours of baking clay, you want white a 3 variations of a colour
-a rolling pin (I couldn't find mine so I just made do with a glass jar)
-a clay knife/X-Acto knife (I don't own either of the two so a plastic knife works just fine)
-an object with a circular end
-an oven-safe dish or ramekin
-gold paint and a small paint brush (optional)

Step 1. start by cutting out pieces of your clay (cut double of the white), you can make them as big or small as you want them. You then want to proceed to roll them into sausage shapes (throwback to primary school art!)

Step 2. you then need to twist them all together into one big sausage! repeat this step a few times until it looks like they a starting to merge together if it doesn't look very merged then cut it in half and twist them together again

Step 3. make your sausage into a ball and roll it out with your rolling pin or jar, you don't want it to be too thick or too thin so make it just a few mm thick. if you don't like how it looks then just simply cut it in half make each half into a sausage and repeat step 2 and 3 until you like how it looks

Step 4. now you want to place your object with the cylindrical end on a bit of the clay you like the look of and cut out a circle

Step 5. then you want to place it into a oven safe bowl you like the shape of and bake it
follow the instructions on the pack of clay you got make sure you use oven gloves to get it out because it become very hot (trust me I learnt the hard way!!)

Step 6. (Optional) once its cool add gold paint around the edges of your dish to jazz it up a little!

Once that's dry you're finished just place it somewhere in your room I put mine on my bedside table and you can put anything in it depending on how deep you made it. I put in my jewellery  that I have been wearing that day and any grips I take out before I go to sleep.

top tips
-leave your dish to cool in the oven so it can finish hardening
-if you have leftover marbled clay don't throw it away, I made this cute mini garland out of mine but you can make anything you want!
-you could use the gold paint and write your initials on the bowl, a tribal pattern or any other design you can think of
-if you want to paint to be really well sealed then paint a layer of clear nail polish over it (make sure it's dry so you don't ruin your nail polish though)
-you don't have to make a bowl you could make a little ornament, a coaster, a pen pot there are endless possibilities just get creative!
-double the amount of clay I used and make two, one for yourself and one for a friend
-store any clay you didn't use in cling film so it doesn't dry out

I hope you liked today's post and give it a go yourself,

Writers Block...

Hey everyone,

Before I get into this post I would just like to thank the lovely  people who commented such nice things on my last post, so thank you to those girls and do feel free to leave comments yourself with suggestions or just general comments (all nice please!)

So I realised when I was sorting out things for my last post that there were months when I barley posted anything, not because I was busy but because I was stuck. I didn't know what to write so I looked a bit more into it and it turns out it has it's own name Writers Block, the condition of being unable to think of what to write or how to proceed with writing. When I read that I decided to write this post to hopefully help some of you if you're stuck for ideas or you just want to write something different. These ideas are mainly fashion related but can be adapted to fit the theme of you're blog. I will link some of my posts if I have written one that I mention to hopefully help give you inspiration (just click on the name of the post). Anyway lets get started because there's a lot of ideas to get through.

  1. OOTD-just simply show what you are wearing it's quick and easy
  2. OOTW-very similar to the one above but if you want a post that's a bit longer then show you're outfits for the whole week
  3. Favourites-share with your readers what you have been loving recently or even what blogs your enjoying reading
  4. What's in my Bag-everyone's always got something in their bag so just go and fetch your handbag and get typing
  5. Lookbook-these are a bit more time consuming but are worth it if your stuck for outfit ideas just use outfits you have worn that week
  6. Haul-if you've recently been shopping then grab all you're new clothes and blog about them
  7. Collection-this could really be anything from shoes to nail polish to makeup
  8. Hot Right Now-if you've spotted some trends then write about them, have a look at the latest catwalks and pick out what you think is going to be big for the current season
  9. Dress up, Dress down-show how you can take an item of clothing and style it in different ways
  10. Wish List-write a list of things you have spotted and really want
  11. Designer Duplicates-if there is something you really want but it's out of you're price range then do a bit of hunting there is sure to be a similar item for much cheaper and some of you're readers may well have wanted the same thing!
  12. Wardrobe Staples-what could you not live without in your wardrobe (or closet if you're American)
  13. Collab-you may think it is hard to collab on blogs but there are actually many different and fun ways to do it; you could both write one on the same subject but covering a slightly different aspect of it or you could swap blogs and write a post on each others (this can also help you gain readers)
  14. Inside My Wardrobe-Show how you organise your wardrobe and what you have in it
  15. Blogging Set Up-where do you sit, what software do you use explain what you do when you're writing a post
  16. Review-these can be super simple to do just pick a product or item of clothing or anything really and explain what you like and dislike about it and whether you'd recommend your readers buy it/use it (you could even write about software or equipment you use for your blog)
  17. A Day in the Life-if you are doing/going somewhere interesting then blog about people like to see cool places to go and also if they are nosy like me then they'll love to see what you get up to in the day!
  18. Routine-this could be anything from skincare to night time
  19. Start a series-start a series of posts relevant to the time/season, so if its prom season then start a series of prom posts
  20. Organisation-I don't know about anyone else but I love seeing how people organise different things it could be shoes or makeup or an area such as your desk
  21. DIY-there is always a DIY that you can do easily just look on pinterest for some idea of what to do and do them!!
  22. Give yourself a Plug-let your readers know where they can find you or get in contact with you through things such as different social media sites #SELFPROMO
  23. A Room Tour-everybody loves a good room tour and it doesn't have to be of your bedroom it could be of your study or bathroom or wherever
  24. Essentials-write a list of your essentials whether it's for the gym or your handbag write down what you couldn't do without
  25. Who I'm Loving-Write down who you are loving whether it's a celebrity, blogger, youtuber or what ever write them in a post and explain why you like them
  26. Travel-if you are going on a trip somewhere whether its a holiday abroad or a weekend away you can share a lot from the trip eg. what's in my had luggage, travel essentials, how I pack my suitcase etc.
  27. Style Steal-if you see a celebrity wearing an outfit you like the chances are it's gonna cost thousands so try and recreate an outfit with a similar feel for a lot cheaper
  28. A Little Bit About Me...-share more about yourself with your readers let them know what your hobbies are, where you like to shop your favourite things to do etc.
  29. Style Inspiration-share your favourite places to get style inspiration from
  30. Save Your Money-go to a charity shop (thrift store if you're from America) and see what you can find and show what you put it with/how you style it

  32. Update-lots of posts change over time like favourites and what's in my bag so write a new post of them updating all of your readers
  33. This!!-go through your old posts or your favourite posts on other bloggers posts and write them down in one post and share it with your readers and it might help them like hopefully this is helping you!

I hope that this has helped you if you are stuck for blogpost ideas or are starting out and don't know what to write about

Pinterest

Hello everyone,

Recently I realised that my blog has evolved into more than just a fashion blog, it now has many different aspects to it so I thought that they all deserved their own space. I took me a while to think of how to do it quickly and easily but, so everyone could see and access it and then it came to me...use pinterest!!

So I went through all of my posts and pinned them all onto different boards on pinterest. I came up with seven different boards and one with all of my posts on.
(click here to view my boards or click here to follow me)

I hope this helps you to find my older blogposts easily,

Beauty Favourites #1

Hey everybody,
I have a few products that I have just been loving lately so I thought that I would share them with you. I've just been obsessed with soft skin lately so they are all down the skincare route.
Nivea Sensitive 3-in-1 Micellar Cleansing Water
The first product is a new edition to my skin care routine. It is very similar to the Bioderma Oil I talked about in my skincare routine but I prefer this one a lot more; it removes makeup really quickly and easily and you don't have to use a lot. I keep it on my bedside table along with some cotton wool so then just before I get into bed I put a little bit on cotton wool, wipe it all over my face and then I'm done and ready to go to sleep! keeping makeup wipes or cleansing water can really help you not to forget to take your makeup off before you go to sleep. you don't have to rinse it off with water either, you just let it  soak into your skin. My favourite thing about it though is that it's made for sensitive skin and one of the effects of sensitive skin is redness and since I've been using this over the past week I'm already seeing a massive visible difference in the appearance of my skin.

Nivea Rich and Nourishing Body Moisturiser
The next product is also from Nivea and it's a body moisturiser. It is super hydrating and helps to dull the appearance of dry skin. I love using this on my legs especially after shaving as it replenishes all the moisture.

Superdrug Vitamin E Moisture Mask
The final product I was a bit sceptical about at first but I absolutely love it. It's  a Superdrug own moisturising face mask and believe me it works miracles! I left it on for about 15 minutes and when I took it off my skin felt so soft and it didn't go straight back to what it was before it stayed soft for about 2-3 days! They do a few other types of face masks and I'm definitely going to be trying those out next.

I highly recommend all of these products to you, you should definitely go and try them out,

A Year (and 2 days!) Old

A Year and 2 days
367 days
8808 hours
528480 minutes
31708800 seconds
1,999 page views from people all around the world
and 43 (44 now) blog posts later and here we are; we've made it through an amazingly fun year together

This blog is now 1 year and 2 days old!! I know it's not exactly 1 year but I didn't even realise that it has been a year. I've just been enjoying writing content for you all and the time that has past hasn't really registered with me. Last year on Sunday the 6th of April I sat in my living room with my family we were watching a program on the telly (I wasn't really paying attention to the TV so I really have no clue what was on!) and I sat there on the green sofa and typed my first ever post. I was actually quite nervous I've no idea why but I just was. I remember that day like it was yesterday so when I was sat here looking at old posts I realised that I have been writing blog posts for a year (and a bit!) and that is a very long time.
Whether you have read my blog from day one or this is the first post you've read I hope you all continue to read my blog and all that I write for another year.

My Workout Week | Spring into Summer

Hiya Everyone,
So as promised here is my workout week; this is my holiday routine because obviously when im at school I don't have as much free time. now I'm quite layed back when it comes to fitness so I suppose this isn't really that much of a routine and I often switch put things and move things about but I try and do around this much every week during the holidays.

Monday
Walk- I try and go on a little walk at some point in the day even if it's just round the block a few times or going shopping! now you're probably thinking well that's not a workout but you don't have to go on a 10 mile run and not have fun you could just go into town and do some shopping for example yesterday I went into town with two of my friends, Alice and Pippa and we went and saw a movie and then had a wander around town and this might surprise you but I actually walked 5km!! #shoppingreallyismycardio
Tuesday
Rest Day- it's really important to give yourself a rest day just to relax
Wednesday
Leg Workout- I have a little YouTube playlist I made of a load of leg workout videos. I really want slimmer thighs in particular so I try and do at least one of these videos on a Wednesday or if I have time I'll do one in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening
Thursday
Dance Workout- this is basically anything! I follow a video on YouTube or do a couple of just dance songs to get my heart beating
Friday
Rest Day- Friday is another chill out day for me it's another day of chilling out and having fun
Saturday
Gym- on Saturdays I go to the gym in the evening for around an hour to and hour and a half depending on what time I got there
Sunday

Gym- I don't go every Sunday but sometimes I do do go to the gym for a bit on a Sunday morning (let me know if you'd like me to do a gym routine post)

I hope that some of you found this helpful and remember one is better than none.

Review-Nikon 1 J2

Hi,
Okay so as promised here is my camera review I thought that I should wait a little while before forming my opinion on it and as I'm currently on my way back from Northumberland where I've taken loads of photos what better time to do it. (I did actually write this in the car on Thursday I just forgot to publish it!! Sorry x)

Item: Nikon 1 J2
Price: £150
Where the items from: Amazon (I got it as a one off offer)
Quality: the camera is super good quality and takes amazing photographs. it's compact so it doesn't take up much space and is easy to just throw (not literally!)in your handbag before heading out.
Tech Talk: now I'm no camera expert and I'm not going to pretend to be! I am just going to tell you what I know (very little) and if you'd like to know more just click here.
it has many different modes and you can take videos on it as well. Mine came with the 1Nikkor 10-30mm lense and the zoom is great. it focus' automatically and the charge lasts a long time.
Stars: 5 Stars
Pictures:

Overall thoughts: This is a really good quality camera and definitely worth the money.
