School Supplies Haul | Back to School

Hey everyone,
I hope your enjoying your last couple of weeks of school or enjoyed your summer if you've gone back to school already. I would also like to just add that my camera is currently being fixed so I apologise for the photo quality, but anyway here is my back to school haul.

Biros-this is a fairly standard thing to buy for back to school because obviously you need pens to write with and my favourite pens are the paper mate writebros 1.0m
Coloured Biros-I'm a visual learner so I use colour a lot in my work
Fine liners & Felt tips-so keeping up with the colour I bought this set of staedtler fine liners and felt tips
Colouring Pencils-sorry about all of the colour guys but the next thing I bought was a pack of colouring pencils
Sketching Pencils-this is something not everyone will need but I'm taking art GCSE so they're an essential for me but even if your not taking art normal pencils always come in handy
Highlighters-again from bic and still keeping with the colour theme are the bic brite liner highlighters
Glue-you always need glue at school so I bought the 22g pritt stick
Sharpener & Rubber-again a basic school essential but I bought it so that it's a sharpener and rubber in one
Calculator-a must have for maths and science classes
Pencil Case-when you've got all of that you need something to put it all in so i got this super cute one when I was on holiday in Norfolk last week and it's great because it's big enough to fit all of my things in
Ruler-just like the rubber & sharpener it's essential for school
Paper-obviously you'll need something to write on so I bought this bumper pack of paper from B&M
Lever Arch File-at my school some subjects require you to have a binder so I bought a kraft file and put strips of washi tape on it
Flash Cards-these are a great revision tool
also quick side note on a blog post coming up is some quick and easy DIY's
Zipper Files-I bought 9 clear zip files so I could have a folder for each subject to put my books and any other stuff I need for the subject to help me stay organised
Weekly Planner-this is really great if you're wanting to become more organised you can write down when homework and assignments are due, as well as things that you need to go too

Leave a comment down below telling me when you go back to school or if you already have gone back,

Marshmallow Blondies

Hello everybody,

I hope you are all having a fab summer; so today I thought I would share with you the recipe to the white chocolate and marshmallow brownies that I made and if you've got a sweet tooth then you're sure gonna love these.

What you will need:

  • 2 medium sized eggs
  • 1 cup of  plain flour
  • 1/2 cup of caster sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter (at room temperature so it's easier to mix)
  • 100g bar of white chocolate
  • A small handful of mini marshmallows
  • A dash of vanilla extract

What to do:

  1. First you want to preheat your oven to 170˚c/150˚c Fan and start out by greasing and lining your baking tin, it can be any size you like mine was a round 20cm/8in tin because I couldn't find my square one!
  2. Mix together the butter and sugar until its all smooth then add in the two eggs and vanilla extract
  3. Next you want to melt your chocolate and add that into the mixture (it might look a little dodgy and not very appetising it all turns out okay trust me!)
  4. Now you want to sieve the flour into the mix until its all mixed in once its combined mix in the marshmallows. you want to try and distribute them evenly throughout your mixture
  5. Pour the mixture into your baking tin and spread it out so that it's level in the tin
  6. Place the tin in the oven and leave it to bake; it will probably take about 35-40 minutes but just keep it in the oven until the top is golden brown and it passes the knife test (to do the knife test you simply stick a knife in the centre of the blondie and when it comes out clean with none of the mixture on it then your blondie should be perfectly baked all the way through)
  7. Once its baked leave it on the side to cool before removing it from the tin
  8. When it has cooled down cut it into pieces I cut mine into 6 squares by cutting away the round edges of the cake and then chopping the rectangle into squares and then sprinkled icing sugar over the top to finish it off and your done now all that's left to do is eat it!!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and if you give the blondies a try then share your pictures with me using the hashtag #lottielovesbaking

Bloglovin's Follower Challange

Hey guys,

I'm sure you guys have heard me talk about this many times before but I just wanted to write a short blogpost to tell you about a little competition that they are holding. So this month Bloglovin' are running a competition to see who can gain the most bloglovin' followers; so if you aren't following me already then please head on over and follow me, either type your email into the bloglovin' widget in the sidebar of my blog or click here to go directly onto bloglovin' and follow me; and because of the competition I will be following back everyone who follows me in August because it can be really hard to get followers (believe me I'm going through that struggle!) because there are so many blogs out there now.

Also while your there find other blogs you like to read and follow them because then you'll be able to access there post more easily.
Back to school posts will be starting soon as well so comment down below when you go back to school and what posts you would like to read,

Top Tips for Bloggers

Hello everyone,
I hope your all having a fab summer break today I thought I'd share a few more blogging tips with you.
  • keep a bank of posts, they don't have to be completely finished but it really helps if you have a busy week and all you have to do is finish off writing a post or take a few pictures
  • encourage comments, ask your readers to comment and reply to them
  • you don't need to spend a lot of money to have an amazing blog, use what you already own when you are first starting out and find free templates for your blog
  • make friends in the blogging community, try and find blogs that have a similar size audience as you or are on the same subject and work with them, do collab posts or give each other a mention to help grow each others audience
  • use social media to help you to connect and engage with your readers (click here for all my social media links)
  • join Bloglovin' to allow your readers to access your blog in another way; also bloglovin' are currently holding a competition to read more about it click here and to follow me click here
  • don't force a post if you haven't got anything to write about then don't! only write a blog post if you're feeling inspired to do so
  • make sure you are having fun whilst blogging don't see it as a chore see it as a fun hobby
  • make a note of ideas, if you think of an idea for a post then jot it down somewhere so you'll remember it later when you sit down to write it
I hope that this post helped some of you out there and if your stuck for something to do then why not start a blog (to read more blogging advice from me click here)
